Tatanka: Story of the Bison

On Deadwood's northern edge, view a spectacular, larger-than-life bronze sculpture featuring 14 bison pursued by three Native American horseback riders - frozen in motion in a beautiful, high-prairie setting. In addition to the sculpture, Tatanka offers the Northern Plains Peoples Educational Interpretive Center, a Native American gift shop, the Sweetgrass Grill & Snack Bar, and "Dances With Wolves" movie costumes. We are open daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., April through September.
