Black Hills Institute of Geological Research

The Institute has been the leader in paleontological excavations and preparation since 1974, helping supply museums and collectors professionally-prepared fossils and cast replicas. From dinosaurs to mammals, reptiles to pteranodons, and crinoids to trilobites, we do it all. Our facility also includes the Museum of the Black Hills Institute, a natural history museum, and Everything Prehistoric, our gift shop. We are open year-round.
