Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The presidents of Mount Rushmore National Memorial are heading to the Big Apple, and there’s no better place to see them outside of South Dakota. They’ll be starting the year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of the completion of Mount Rushmore with a float in the biggest parade of the year: Macy’s® Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. For the sixth year in a row, South Dakota will have a reproduction of Mount Rushmore in the parade, plus mascots of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln. And, be on the  lookout for this year’s musical guest, MercyMe, who will join Mannheim Steamroller, Neil Diamond, Don McLean, The Summer Set and NEEDTOBREATHE, who have graced the float in years past.

WHEN:  9 a.m.-12 noon, Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26

WHERE:  your local NBC-TV station or on Macys.com/parade

The appearance of the “Mount Rushmore’s American Pride” float in the 2015 parade is just one of the things we are ‘great-ful’ for this holiday season. For more, visit Instagram to see our “30 Great-ful Places.”
