PIERRE, S.D. – The Pheasant Country Banquet, the largest one-night wildlife fundraiser in South Dakota, will be held Oct. 17 at 5:00 p.m. at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
"One hundred percent of the funds raised during the Pheasant Country Banquet are put back into habitat," said Rick Herrold, President, Pheasant Country LTD. "We understand that successful wildlife management begins with habitat."
Pheasant Country LTD is a 501 C-3 organization founded in 1985. They are dedicated to promoting the shooting sports for youth while continuously improving pheasant and wildlife habitat in the Mitchell area.
"Over the past 23 years, we have developed some of the best wildlife in the state," said Herrold. "The hunters who visit our communities are a valuable asset, and we want them to keep coming back."
The banquet kicks-off the start of pheasant season in the Mitchell area. There will be more than 30 guns available for raffles or auctions, wildlife artists working on original paintings that will be available at auction and a pheasant dinner that is second to none. There will also be a number of outdoor enthusiasts from around the country meeting with old friends, and making new ones.
The Pheasant Country Banquet is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pheasantcountry.org or at the door. Contact Rick Herrold at 605-995-1101 or email@example.com for more information.
