PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Tourism invites all who are interested in the visitor industry to attend the 2013 Governor’s Conference on Tourism, Jan. 16-17, in Pierre.
The annual conference will feature two keynote speakers, as well as expert-led sessions on a variety of topics, from cross promotion and collaboration to marketing and research. New marketing plans for 2013 will be presented, and the 2012 visitor spending figures will be revealed.
“This year’s conference theme is Connect. Collaborate. Create., which is a true representation of what the Governor’s Conference on Tourism is all about,” said Department of Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen. “As we ready ourselves for the coming year, I encourage conference attendees, and everyone in the visitor industry, to connect with peers, discuss ways to collaborate, and return home with a renewed enthusiasm to create even more success in 2013.”
Conference registration is now open. Continue to check www.SDVisit.com/conference for updates.
