PIERRE, S.D. – The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has recognized the work of the South Dakota Department of Tourism and one of their agencies of record, MMGY Global, with three Adrian Awards for digital marketing and public relations excellence in the 59th annual awards competition.
As the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition, the contest attracted more than 1,200 entries from around the world with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry. On Feb. 16, HSMAI paid tribute to the winners during the annual Adrian Awards Gala.
Awards received were in the following categories:
The Great 8 (digital marketing/social media)
A Presidential Invite for Minnesotans to Visit the Mount Rushmore State (public relations)
“Along for the Ride” Video Series (digital marketing)
“We’re quite honored to receive this recognition,” said Jim Hagen, secretary of the Department of Tourism. “Our team works hard in conjunction with our marketing agencies, and to be rewarded in this way solidifies that what we’re doing is original and effective. Most importantly, it is grabbing the attention of potential visitors.”
