PIERRE, S.D. – On the heels of being listed as one of Lonely Planet’s “Best in the US” for 2015, South Dakota has also recently been selected by Frommer’s as one of their “Best Places to Go in 2015.”
Additionally, the American Bus Association has named the Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup as the top event in the U.S. on their list of the Top 100 Events in North America for 2015.
“Being recognized by these major travel industry companies and media outlets is humbling,” said Jim Hagen, Secretary of the Department of Tourism. “South Dakota is blessed with an abundance of beauty, variety and unique opportunities for visitors and we couldn’t be happier about the recognition the state has received.”
