Located side-by-side in Huron, Java Hut is both a quilt store and a coffee shop. The quilt store offers quality fabrics and threads as well as sewing machines, quilting supplies, classes and more. The coffee shop offers a selection of hot and cold drinks along with homemade desserts, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and paninis. Jefferson Beer Supply is a brewery on Jefferson's Main Street in far southeastern South Dakota. We have craft beer, cider and craft soda on tap from local breweries (while we get our brewhouse up and running). We do not offer food at this time, but you're welcome to bring your own or get delivery. We are kid- and dog-friendly. We have plenty of games and activities for the kiddos. Sorry, no dog games. The third-longest cave in the world features a variety of cave tours below the surface and a 1,279-acre park with nature trails above ground. With a name derived from the crystals that line its walls, Jewel Cave is even more significant as one of the longest caves in the world, with more than 208 miles of mapped and surveyed passages. Located near Custer in the southern Black Hills, this national monument also features three self-guided above-ground trails: the Roof Trail, the Canyons Trail and the Hell Canyon Trail. Plus, there is a visitor center with an information desk, park store, exhibits, a theater, information about the Junior Ranger program and more.
Never thrown and axe or a hatchet before? No problem! Our "Axperts" at JJ's Axes & Ales in Sioux Falls will teach you what you need to know and guide you while you learn the art of axe throwing. Each throwing session includes lessons on technique, rules and safety. You will then be coached along through your experience while you gain confidence. We also sell beer, wine and other beverages (no liquor), but axe throwers will be limited to one beverage per hour prior to throwing. (Ages 14 and up are welcome with direct parental supervision.) Our hours are 4-10 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; 2-10 p.m., Friday; 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday; and 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday.

John C. Green is a lifelong resident of the Madison, South Dakota, area who is an accomplished professional wildlife artist with more than 30 years of experience. He sells original artwork and prints and does custom framing at his Art Gallery in downtown Madison. He has earned recognition in the art community through his faithful rendition of outdoor and scenic images that capture the spirit of his native state. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The John Lopez Gallery is an art gallery located on Main Street in Lemmon in northwestern South Dakota. The Kokomo Gallery houses the artwork of sculptor John Lopez, who specializes in sculpture welded art. Within the gallery, visitors have a real life experience of John's sculptures captured in a single space. It is open May 1-October 30 and the hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Audiences from around the region flock to Aberdeen for more than 65 university, community and regional performances that take place annually at the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center. The building is home to the main Jewett Theater, a black box theater for intimate performances, and the JFAC Art Gallery. The 1000-seat Jewett Theater is the venue for the full season of orchestra and band concerts and one large musical production each academic year. Guest lectures and presentations are also frequent occurrences in the theater. The 1,000-square-foot JFAC Art Gallery exhibits nationally or internationally recognized contemporary artists, as well as student artworks and pieces from the permanent collection.
