Located next to the DakotaDome on the University of South Dakota campus, the W. H. Over Museum was founded in 1883. Our mission is to collect, preserve, document, exhibit, research, study and interpret objects relating to natural and cultural history, primarily of South Dakota; and to provide interpretive exhibitions, educational programs, publications and other appropriate means of conveying an understanding and appreciation of this region. Warrior's Work & Ben West Gallery in Hill City is the creation of South Dakotans Randy Berger and his wife Janna Emmel. Our gallery began as Warrior's Work, dedicated to Native American art, and then expanded to Ben West Gallery to include other contemporary artists. We are proud to know all of our artists personally. They are people we respect and enthusiastically represent. Among the many beautiful pieces of flat art showcased in the gallery, there are also sculptures in bronze, stone, glass and wood. We also offer our own distinct style of men's and women's wear. Our 'gallery wardrobe' consists of high quality leather hats and jackets. We also feature hand-painted watches and bracelets.
