As long as the business has a retail betting license, they can take sports bets. Currently, businesses that handle sports betting are:

- The Lodge at Deadwood (100 Pine Crest Drive)
- Mineral Palace (601 Main Street)
- Landmark Casino (53 Sherman St.)
- Gold Dust Casino & Hotel (688 Main St.)
- Deadwood Mountain Grand (1905 Deadwood Mountain Drive)

How do I place a bet?
Once inside an approved location, you can bet at a sports-betting window or kiosk, but some places offer an option to use a mobile sports-betting app that only works inside the facility.
What can I bet on?

South Dakota law specifically prohibits betting on:
- A high school sporting event
- A minor league sporting event
- The performance (or nonperformance) of any individual athlete in a single collegiate game or match
- Any individual collegiate game in which any team or athlete from a South Dakota university or college is competing
