The Boxcar Sweet Stop

The Boxcar Sweet Stop is a seasonal business featuring handmade hard ice cream (made in South Dakota), candy, craft sodas and pie shakes, as well as toys and games for sale. All of this can be found at one of the finest locations in the Historic Gurney Seed & Nursery Building one block north of the Missouri River in lower downtown Yankton in the Meridian District. We are only two blocks from the historic Meridian Pedestrian Bridge and offer a great patio area. From late May through early September, our hours are 12-9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12-6 p.m., Sunday. We are also open limited weekend hours in the fall months and daily hours during the Christmas season. See Facebook for special events and other off-season hours.
