
Kick-start your I-90 journey in Sioux Falls. With small-town charm and big-city amenities, you can choose from hundreds of restaurants, thousands of hotel/motel rooms and endless shopping. West of Sioux Falls, travel to Mitchell, home of the World’s Only Corn Palace and a retail outfitter for the outdoors. Beyond Mitchell you’ll find Chamberlain where Interstate 90 meets the Missouri River. Here, visit the Akta Lakota Museum featuring Lakota art and artifacts. Stop for a buffalo burger and some homemade pie at a local restaurant. Take in some evening entertainment at the tribal casino on the Lower Brule Indian Reservation northwest of Chamberlain. Head west to Murdo and an auto museum featuring more than 250 antique classic cars. Travel a little farther west to see a collection of early prairie town buildings and the entrance to Badlands National Park. Take the Badlands Loop (Highway 240) for awesome views of the 244,000-acre national park. After the Badlands, take a break in Wall at the internationally famous drug store. For evening entertainment, consider a chuck-wagon supper and trail or wagon ride at a real western ranch. Stay the night in Wall.
