1880 Train Old West Shootout

Experience an old west shootout aboard the 1880 Train this summer. Conflicts between lawmen and bad guys were an important part of the story of the Wild West, and here’s your chance to experience a recreation of history and legend right on the spot. Sunday evening shootouts begin at 5 p.m. at the Hill City Station where danger is in the air. It's a good thing the sheriff is in town! Take the round trip from Hill City to Keystone and back to experience the shootout. Dates for 2026 are June 7, 14, 21 and 28; July 5, 12, 19 and 26; August 23; and September 6 and 24.
