From the Forest to the Capitol - Whistlestop Tour

Come welcome the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree to Custer as it travels from Idaho’s Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests to Washington, D.C. Meet Santa and Smokey Bear, see the tree and its truck, explore forest displays, and add a greeting to the community banner bound for the Capitol. Bring the family to Way Park in Custer for a festive stop on this remarkable holiday journey. The event runs 4-6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Held in partnership with the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce and the Black Hills National Forest. The tree also makes a stop in Mitchell, South Dakota, on Thursday, November 12.
