Run with the Govs

Run with the Govs is an annual 3.5-mile charity race that winds through the heart of South Dakota's capital city. The route throughout Pierre features 31 life sized bronze statues honoring the state's former governors. Soak up the history and savor the art as you join runners and walkers along the Trail of Governors from South Dakota’s stunning Capitol through downtown Pierre, along the Missouri River and on the award-winning Capitol grounds. Participants of all ages are welcome, including kids in strollers and dogs on leashes. All registered runners/walkers are guaranteed a t-shirt if registered by the deadline. Awards will be given for the overall male and female winners and top male and female, ages 12 and under. Start time is 8:30 a.m. and registration is $25.
