McGovern Library & Museum

Located in Mitchell in southeastern South Dakota, the mission of the McGovern Library is to provide access to reliable sources of information to the Dakota Wesleyan University community in support of strong teaching and learning; robust information literacy among members of the community; and independent learning, research, and scholarship. The Dakota Wesleyan University Archives are housed on the second floor of the library and are home to the Senator George McGovern Collections which contain photographs, 1972 presidential campaign memorabilia, personal and political files and papers, manuscripts, and more. The Library is also home to the McGovern Legacy Museum and the McGovern Center for Leadership and Public Service. See website or FB for current hours.
