1st Fridays on Main in Mitchell is held the first Friday of each month, 5-9 p.m., May through September (May 1, June 5, July 3, August 6, and September 4, 2026). Event goers will enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, activities and games for both adults and children. This free event is held around the Corn Palace Plaza in downtown Mitchell, corner of 6th Avenue & Main Street. (August 6 is a Thursday and is the Palace City Pre-Sturgis Party. Hours are 5-10 p.m.)

1st Fridays on Main - May

The AmphiThursday Summer Concert Series is every Thursday evening throughout the summer at the Parkston Amphitheater. Bring a chair but leave your cooler at home. Food trucks, cold beer, and live music are provided. All concerts are 100% free but we do take a free will donation at each live event. The 2026 dates are May 21 and 28; June 4, 11, 18 and 25; July 9, 16, 23 and 30, and August 6 (no concert July 2). See our website or Facebook for more details, including opening acts and headliners.

This annual downtown Spearfish block party has everything you need for a fun-filled evening with friends and family. Join us 6-9 p.m. every Friday, June 12 through August 22 (except for August 7). June 12: Jacob Westfall performs.

Free concerts on Main Street Deadwood are awesome, but that's not all! You can also check out the National Dock Dogs Competition and learn the tricks of gold panning and sluicing from Black Hills pros right on Main Street. There's also a weekend-long classic car auction, and free concerts by top bands. Have fun celebrating the life and times of Wild Bill Hickok in Deadwood.

Farley Fest is an annual summer celebration held at Lake Farley Park in Milbank. It’s a fun-filled weekend with great activities for all ages. Enjoy two days of outdoor concerts, a car show, cornhole tournament, barbeque content, parade (held downtown), kids activities, food and arts & crafts vendors, and more.

Join us for the Black Hills Bluegrass & BBQ Festival at Elk Creek Resort near Piedmont (between Rapid City and Sturgis). The three-day event features concerts, jam sessions, workshops, kids' activities, BBQ and food trucks, and lots of family fun.
