Wine-making and vineyards are thriving in eastern South Dakota. A wine trail adventure winds from Vermillion and Beresford in the south up the Interstate 29 corridor to Garretson and Renner and on to Rosholt in the northeastern corner of the state. There are more than a dozen eastern wineries and many of them regularly hold special events like concerts, grape picking and stomping, and wine tastings.
