Flying into The Mount Rushmore State is a breeze, with six major airports in South Dakota for convenient air travel plans.
Airports
Whether you’re visiting the western Black Hills & Badlands, the central Missouri River region, the northern glacial lakes or Sioux Falls and the southeast, South Dakota has airports in every region of the state:
- Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) — This is the largest and most passenger-traveled airport in South Dakota. It is also known as Joe Foss Field, named after aviator, Sioux Falls native and 20th Governor of South Dakota Joe Foss.
- Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP)
- Pierre Regional Airport (PIR)
- Huron Regional Airport (HON)
- Watertown Regional Airport (ATY)
