Spearfish Valley Produce's Spearfish Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch is located about three miles northwest of Spearfish. Bring your family and find your way through the maze. After finishing the corn maze, visit our patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin for carving and decorating. Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes will be available. Price will vary based on the size of the pumpkin. Numerous other activities include a hay jump, tire climb, duck race, hay slide, bee-line, barrel train, bale pets, corn box and petting zoo. Tucked along the shore of Lake Madison, this small but complete park meets the many needs of campers, anglers and boaters. The 43 campsites and two camping cabins offer picturesque views of the 2,800-acre lake, while anglers enjoy both on- and off-shore fishing. Facilities include a boat ramp, ski beach, playground and a fishing cleaning station.

The Wessington Springs United Methodist Church, built in 1913, welcomes the public to view it's stained glass windows full of Scriptural meaning. They symbolize human life from conception to resurrection. The Renaissance Revival Church is on the National Registry of Historical Places.

Palisades State Park is one of the most unique areas in South Dakota. Split Rock Creek, which flows through the park, is lined with Sioux quartzite formations varying from shelves several feet above the water to 50-foot vertical cliffs. Scenic overlooks and rushing water make Palisades a popular getaway. The park is popular among campers, photographers, sightseers, picnickers, rock climbers and hikers.

Founded in 1988 by Dayton O. Hyde, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is one of America's greatest private wilderness areas. Located near Hot Springs in southwestern South Dakota, it is owned and operated by the Institute of Range and the American Mustang and is dedicated to giving America's unwanted wild horses a life of freedom. There are hundreds of wild mustangs roaming free across 11,000 acres of wind-swept prairie. Starting in May, our Gift Shop is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are horses along the way and around the Gift Shop. Only a select few visitors can go out to see the horses by reservation only. The visits are with a guide in a SUV or van, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 people for three hours. The fee is $350 per person plus tax. The availability is weather dependent and is only Monday through Friday (with mornings being the best time to view the herds).

Located in Stockholm and operated by the Grant County Historical Society, the Ag and Tractor Museums contain an outstanding collection of machinery, tools and vehicles used by pioneers. Also included are an early-day depot, farm repair shop, country kitchen with original furnishings, and a linotype printsetter. There is also an open-sided building with early farm machinery, jail cells and an 1879 claim shanty. The museums are open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays, mid-May through September. This boutique hotel / B&B is located just five minutes - yet a world away - from Deadwood, SD. We are conveniently situated 17-18 miles from Sturgis and Spearfish, and about five miles from Terry Peak. Lead's Town Hall building was constructed in 1912. This ornate building originally housed many town functions including the mayor's and treasurer's offices, the court room, jail, and judge's chambers. The building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

With a name derived from the crystals that line its walls, Jewel Cave is even more significant as one of the longest caves in the world, with more than 208 miles of mapped and surveyed passages. Located near Custer in the southern Black Hills, this national monument also features three self-guided above-ground trails: the Roof Trail, the Canyons Trail and the Hell Canyon Trail. Plus, there is a visitor center with an information desk, park store, exhibits, a theater, information about the Junior Ranger program and more.
