For nearly 20 years, La Minestra has been delighting diners in the capital city with fine cuisine in a casual setting. Our family-owned and -operated Italian restaurant serves up homemade pastas, New York-style pizzas, steaks and seafood. We are open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m., and on Saturday, 5-9 p.m.

The Boat House in Yankton's Meridian District offers the most fun you can have on land. It is a lively place by the river with axe throwing, golf simulation, shuffleboard, pool and other fun and games. You can enjoy one of the best selections of craft beer (featuring local brews) and wine in the area, along with pizza and other snacks. Our hours are 5-10:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday; 12-10:30 p.m., Saturday; and 12-6 p.m., Sunday.

The Grey Goose Store & Social Club north of Pierre is one of those out of the way places you must find. We're a little country store, a gathering place for our community, and a great place to eat and be entertained. We offer breakfast to supper, gas and goodies, bait and tackle, motorcycle gear, brews and libations, entertainments, and social club life. Our hours are 6 a.m.-11 p.m.

Ben's Brewing Co.

Located in downtown Yankton, Ben's Brewing Co. has been open since 2005. We have 20 beers on tap, a selection of bottles and cans, wine, and a full-service liquor bar. We carry most every sports package including the NFL Sunday Ticket. We also have homemade pizzas, soft pretzels, and quesadillas for purchase. We are open 2 p.m.-11:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 2 p.m.-1 a.m., Friday; 12 p.m.-1 a.m., Saturday; and 12-11:30 p.m., Sunday.

Tastee Treet Drive-In

Yankton's Tastee Treet Drive-In is a good old-fashioned drive-in restaurant with great food, ice cream treats, shakes, and malts. You can dine in, take out, or enjoy car-side service. Seasonal hours are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.

Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant

Check out Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant in downtown Pierre. We are a family-owned restaurant that offers an authentic, unique taste, and traditional cooking methods. We are open for lunch and supper and offer dine-in, takeout and delivery. Our hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Zesto is a locally-owned ice cream shop and a Pierre area favorite. In addition to soft serve ice cream and sherbet, we offer tasty food items, including pizza burgers, barbeque sandwiches, chicken fillet sandwiches, fish and chips, hot dogs, fries, tater tots, onion rings, and more.
