Restaurants Near the Missouri River

RedRossa Italian Grille in Pierre offers an extensive selection of house-made pasta and Neapolitan pizza, flavorful salads, seafood, hand-cut steaks and desserts. Neapolitan pizzas are cooked to order on a homemade, hand-tossed crust and wood-fired, capturing the flavor of RedRossa. A thoughtful wine list and cocktails are served in the dining room and spacious, lively bar. We are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. The attached ClubHouse Hotel offers banquet and conference facilities.

The Mint is a family-owned and -operated restaurant in downtown Yankton with options of dining in or taking out. We serve Philly cheesesteaks, gyros, burgers, Buddha bowls, chapatis, soups, acai bowls, and more. Our current hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday (check Facebook for updates).

Check out Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant in downtown Pierre. We are a family-owned restaurant that offers an authentic, unique taste, and traditional cooking methods. We are open for lunch and supper and offer dine-in, takeout and delivery. Our hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. At the Branding Iron Bistro in Pierre, we offer a full espresso bar and homemade bakery items, along with a breakfast and lunch menu. We have daily lunch specials and we're known for our caramels rolls. Check out our chocolate confections, our selection of hard ice cream, and the items we have for sale, including coffees, olive oils and seasonings. We are open 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday; 7 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday; and 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday.

Ben's Brew Station is the brewing headquarters of Yankton's own Ben's Brewing Co. Located in a 28,500-square-foot building, it's also home to a very large taproom (248 person capacity) with 28 beers on tap, a patio, and a bunch of awesome pinball games. Hours are 3:30-10:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday; 3-11 p.m. on Friday; 2-11 p.m. on Saturday; and 12-8 p.m. on Sunday. The Cattleman's Club steakhouse was established in 1986 by Myril Arch, a rancher from the Pierre area. There is still sawdust on the floor, a reminder of the days when carpeting was too expensive. People from all over the world have visited us and enjoyed our steaks, prime rib and burgers. All with a great view of the Missouri River. We are open Monday through Saturday, 5-10 p.m.

The Donut Shop is a local favorite in Pierre. It is known for homemade cake and raised donuts, especially its filled donut holes. Hours are 6 a.m.-12 p.m. and the shop will remain open during those hours unless sold out of product for the day. It is take away only (no seating).

Yankton's Tastee Treet Drive-In is a good old-fashioned drive-in restaurant with great food, ice cream treats, shakes, and malts. You can dine in, take out, or enjoy car-side service. Seasonal hours are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.

Dock Side is located at Spring Creek Recreation Area and overlooks Lake Oahe and the Missouri River north of Pierre. We are open 5-10 p.m., Thursday through Monday. Our menu includes steaks and baskets, smoked entrees, dinners, burgers, sandwiches, a soup and salad bar, and more. Check out our Sunday breakfast buffet, 8-11 a.m.
