Spearfish

Outdoor recreation and spectacular scenery are big draws to the small town of Spearfish, located at the gateway of Spearfish Canyon. Drive the 19-mile Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway and stop at Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish Falls and Roughlock Falls along the way.

In town, get outdoors with a hike along Lookout Mountain Trail, a game of golf at Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club or a game of disc golf on the Spearfish Canyon Disc Golf Course. Then, bring the family to the D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery & Archives, High Plains Western Heritage Center and the Termesphere Gallery, home to one-of-a-kind spherical paintings.
