Frost Fest

Every third weekend in February, Brookings area attractions, businesses and organizations come together as part of Frost Fest to showcase indoor and outdoor activities and things to do in the winter months. Most events are free and open to the public, however some require pre-registration or a small admission fee. Examples of activities include the Snow Ball and meal at the Children's Museum of South Dakota, an ice carving demo in Downtown Brookings, Doggy Date Night at McCrory Gardens, sled hockey, and ice fishing at Dakota Nature Park.
