Short Pines Hunting, LLC, is operated by Larry and Beth Picek. We offer semi-guided hunts for antelope, whitetail and mule deer (archery and firearms). Hunts are in Harding County in northwestern South Dakota. There are approximately 3,500 acres in the pine-covered hills and approximately 4,000 acres consisting of prairie and hay ground. We have a remote cabin and provide lodging and meals. Deer can be hunted right from the cabin. See our website for more information about our hunts and lodging.

You can enjoy the bustle of Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and in a moment be exploring the seldom-used trail across the road. Our luxury Danish tents are the best way to rediscover connection with the the rhythms of the day, the fresh air, and native plants and animals. Each of the eight tents has large French doors that let in the sun and breeze and meadowlark song, a private deck to roast marshmallows and see the stars, designer furniture (including king-sized bed), and spa essentials to entice you to stay indoors. At the on-site Meander Restaurant, you can expect a multi-course, fine-dining experience for dinner and more casual breakfast and lunch options.
Sica (pronounced she-cha) Hollow State Park - located 15 miles northwest of Sisseton in the northeastern corner of South Dakota - is a place filled with rugged beauty and ancient mysteries. The park, part of the Prairie Coteau Hills, offers a wide variety of year-round activities and is the source of many eerie Native American legends. Hiking, camping and horseback riding are all enjoyed in this scenic park.
The Sick-N-Twisted Brewery in Hill City was founded in 2012 and has been providing specialty beers to patrons ever since. We select local ingredients for our unique beers that are brewed in house; we currently have over a dozen beers on tap. We have a beer wall so you can pick your own six pack from more than 100 beers. We are also home to Naughti Wines, and we’ve taken the pecksniffery out of wine tasting. Drink what you like the way you like it. Join us and relax on our patio with your friends or sit by the fire and indulge in some twisted fun! We also serve stone-baked pizza, gourmet sandwiches, smoked wings, meat & cheese platters and more. Our hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday. The Silver Spur is a steak house and lounge in Fort Pierre. We serve hand-cut steaks, ribs, fresh-ground burgers and a full line of sandwiches. Since 1903, the Historic Franklin Hotel's legendary hospitality has drawn the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Babe Ruth and John Wayne. Located on Main Street in Deadwood, its Victorian styling can be seen from the lobby on the main floor to the veranda above the white-columned entrance. The entire Silverado Franklin Historic Hotel & Gaming Complex includes 81 guest rooms, slots, table games, poker room, buffet restaurant, bar/lounge and a steakhouse serving breakfast and dinner.
