With 40 restored historic buildings, agricultural displays, a steam carousel and an operating railroad, Prairie Village invites you to discover the unexpected. Venture two miles west of Madison on South Dakota Highway 34 near Lake Herman and you will find history to explore, daily carousel rides and train rides every Saturday at 2 p.m. We are open daily from early May to early September; 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays.
