The Lewis & Clark Resort near Yankton along the Missouri River offers 24 modern motel rooms, 17 modern two- and three-bedroom cabins, and a 4,000-square-foot lodge with a 1,800-square-foot great room. Take advantage of the bike trail, feel free to bring your own bike or rent one here. There is a heated outdoor pool, a playground, firepits and two large picnic shelters. There are outdoor games to rent (volleyball, croquet, bean bags, boche ball), as well as a DVD player for those unexpected rainy days. The center of activity for the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area is the 25-mile Lewis and Clark Lake. The lake is one of four large reservoirs on the Missouri River in South Dakota, this one created by Gavins Point Dam.
