Stokes-Thomas Lake City Park & Campground, located on the shores of Lake Kampeska near Watertown, offers an excellent campground and recreational facility with modern comfort stations. The park is supervised by a full-time park manager. The facility has three playground areas, a large picnic area, bike/jogging trail, non-supervised swimming and beach area, tornado shelter, and boat launching facilities. The campground is open May through September, and with limited services in October. There are 72 campsites and they're available on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).Storybook Island
Storybook Island is an admission-free, 8.5-acre, family theme park in Rapid City. It is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily, Memorial Day weekend (late May) through Labor Day weekend (early September). It offers more than 100 storybook, nursery rhyme and fairytale settings where children can use their imaginations, see a live theatre production, and take a ride on Storybook Island Line through Middle Park. The Studio 13 Motel & RV Park is located in Vermillion, home of the University of South Dakota and the Dakota Dome. Our motel offers direct entry into rooms and no common hallways or elevators. We have single rooms with one queen bed and double rooms with two full beds. Room amenities include a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker, as well as TV with cable and Wi-Fi. All rooms are non-smoking and pet-friendly (deposit required). Our new RV park offers nine sites (up to 45 feet), and each site has 30- and 50-amp hookups. In 2015, in order to preserve the history of Saab automobiles for future generations, we established the Saab Heritage Museum USA as a nonprofit foundation. What started with acquiring the 10 Saab cars from the General Motors Heritage Collection in 2012, the collection is now up to 100 of these classic Swedish cars. The Sturgis Car Museum / Saab Heritage Museum is located right off of exit 32 on Junction Avenue which leads north to downtown Sturgis. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12-4 p.m., Sunday. Sturgis Coffee Company started its coffee business in September of 2000. In July 2004, they moved into a full-service, sit-down and drive-through gourmet coffee shop.
