The small town coffee roastery and drive thru offers a large selection of unique specialty coffees, made-in-house baked goods, smoothies, ice cream shakes, and Dakota sodas. The Larsons prepare all orders of freshly roasted coffees in small batches to your specific requests. Hours are 6 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday.
The Heritage Center is a Native American gift shop, cultural center and fine arts gallery, with one of the most impressive collections of historic and contemporary Native art in the country. It is located on the Mahpiya Luta (Red Cloud) campus, a beautiful, one-hour drive southeast of Hot Springs. This fantastic display of culture and history is not to be missed! Admission and tours are free. Open daily, Memorial Day-Labor Day, and Tuesday-Saturday in winter. See the annual Art Show, June-August.
The Hermosa Arts & History Association (HAHA) was organized in 1999. HAHA seeks to preserve our local history; educate our youth; promote visual, written, and performing arts in Hermosa; and involve the community in all of these efforts. We strive to bring together residents of the greater Hermosa area to create a cohesive community based on our appreciation for each other's unique experiences, cultures, traditions, and histories-- and our common humanity. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building that houses the museum served as the Hermosa Masonic Lodge 1929-1999. Come to Hidden Lake Campground & Resort to refuel, replenish and reconnect. Located in the southern Black Hills on the northern edge of Hot Springs, we offer pull-through sites, back-in sites, tent/primitive camping sites. eight furnished cabins and one glamping camper. Our private lake is great for catch-and-release fishing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming, and there is a playground for the kiddos. Our store is open April through November and is stocked with clothing, souvenirs, games, groceries and general necessities. We are an unplugged campground, with no Wi-Fi and no cable.
The High Country Guest Ranch is four miles northwest of Hill City. Lodging options include RV sites, camping cabins, cowboy cabins, and spacious log vacation homes. All of the units are smoke-free. Ranch amenities include hot tubs, seasonal trail rides, horse stable, playground, golf cart rentals, convenience store, gift shop, volleyball, horseshoes, picnic pavilion, and fire pits. Dakota Hall houses the General Store, with basic necessities, food, beverages and gifts. There is limited internet access at this property. We are pet-friendly.
The High Plains Western Heritage Center in Spearfish is a five-state regional museum founded to honor the Old West pioneers and Native Americans of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana. The Center provides more than 20,000 square feet of presentation space featuring Western artifacts, Western art, live animals and family history displays.
