Horatio's Homemade Ice Cream in Custer is a locally-owned homemade,
small batch ice cream shop. We are located in the 1881 First National Bank of
Dakota Territory building and serve fresh waffle cones, sundaes, floats, ice
cream sandwiches and coffee. Ice cream flavors change regularly. We are open seasonally, mid- March through October, and have pop-up dates throughout the winter. You

The exterior walls of businesses and buildings in the historic district of Hot Springs became the canvases for artists to create pictorial representations of Fall River County history. To-date, seven different local and regional artists have completed murals, with more planed by the Hot Springs Cultural Development Organization.
The historic 1929 Hot Springs Theatre is home to first-run movies and special events. First-run movies are shown at 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoons. Hotel On Phillips was originally built as the Sioux Falls National Bank in 1918. One hundred years later, in 2018, Hotel On Phillips began its restoration and transformation into an upscale chic boutique hotel featuring 90 unique and elegant guest rooms along with many luxury suites. The hotel lobby portrays historical charm and grace. It boasts high fluted columns and houses its original chandeliers. Centered in the lobby as its main focal point stands the original bank vault with its 16-ton door and 24, 3-inch bolts. The House of Scandinavia is a touch of Scandinavia just outside of Rapid City. We offer authentic European products and foods and one of the best collections of Viking and Norse Mythology items to be found. Sharing and carrying on the Scandinavian traditions of our heritage is the heart of our business. Hoversten Orchard is a locally-owned apple orchard located north of Brandon. You can pick your own apples or grab a bag at our seasonal store (mid-August through October). We also have cider, preserves, jellies, salsas, barbecue sauces, honey, squash and pumpkins. Our store hours are 12-6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Picking closes at 5:30 p.m.
