Art Glass is blown and lampworked on location at this gallery/studio near Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Pete and Gail blow glass gathered from a furnace to create colorful vases, bowls, goblets, paperweights and more. They also use a torch to lampwork intricate figurines including animals, ships, motorcycles and caketops. A wide variety of styles and price ranges are available daily during tourism season (part-time off-season). All purchases are packaged to travel or mail.
Black Hills Helicopters, Inc. offers helicopter tours of the unique geological outcropping that are the Black Hills of South Dakota. This geological anomaly made for the perfect location to create the world's largest sculptures: Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. Take a few minutes to see a different perspective and experience the unforgettable sensation of helicopter flight and the vertical world. Our heliport is located near Keystone. Our season runs May through October.

Located in the mile-high city of Lead, the Black Hills Mining Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the rich mining heritage of the Black Hills. We invite you to visit us and enjoy our numerous exhibits and activities that are educational and fun and cleverly depict our mining heritage. We offer a simulated underground gold mine tour that takes you through the history of mining and shows 125 years of changes. We are open daily, May-September, and by reservation during the rest of the year.
The Black Hills cover an area that is 65 miles wide and 125 miles long. Most of the area is in western South Dakota, with a small part in northeastern Wyoming. There are 11 reservoirs, 30 campgrounds, 32 picnic areas, two scenic byways, two scenic overlooks, and 353 miles of trails within the forest. Both the Norbeck Wildlife Preserve and the Black Elk Wilderness are also part of the forest. Hiking, bicycling, fishing and horseback riding are among the many opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Black Hills Off-Road Rentals is a premier ATV rental provider in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Conveniently located six miles south of Deadwood, we provide fun, reliable machines for off-road enthusiasts. Our location at Steel Wheel Campground provides a full service gas station/convenience store, plenty of parking and other services. You must be 24 years old to rent and 18 to operate our ATVs. We offer a variety of units to meet your needs, including 2-seater, 4-seater and 6-seater models. Our rates are for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (full-day), or 8 a.m.-12 noon and 12:30-4:30 p.m. (half-day).
