Black Hills National Forest

The Black Hills cover an area that is 65 miles wide and 125 miles long. Most of the area is in western South Dakota, with a small part in northeastern Wyoming. There are 11 reservoirs, 30 campgrounds, 32 picnic areas, two scenic byways, two scenic overlooks, and 353 miles of trails within the forest. Both the Norbeck Wildlife Preserve and the Black Elk Wilderness are also part of the forest. Hiking, bicycling, fishing and horseback riding are among the many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

We offer a variety of units to meet your needs, including 2-seater, 4-seater and 6-seater models. Our rates are for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (full-day), or 8 a.m.-12 noon and 12:30-4:30 p.m. (half-day).

Black Hills Playhouse

Experience incredible theatre in a stunning setting! Since 1946, this cultural gem has been producing theatre on the site of a Civilian Conservation Corps Camp. Join us for musicals, romance, comedy and drama in the rustic beauty of Custer State Park. We offer a casual atmosphere and air-conditioned theater, featuring concessions and lovely picnic grounds. Performances are Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday matinees (2 p.m.), and Wednesday through Saturday evenings (7:30 p.m.). Reservations recommended. Black Hills Ponderosa Place

Located in Custer in the southern Black Hills, we offer six cabins and one lodge. Each cabin includes a kitchenette, 1-2 bedrooms, living and dining areas, and a bath/shower. The lodge has four bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, laundry, a living room and gas fireplace, and a porch. (Linens, towels, dishes, cookware and parking are included.) The shared backyard offers a grill, picnic table, log swing and a firepit. We are close to the Mickelson Trail, Crazy Horse Memorial, shopping and parks.
