Located in Rapid City, Dakota Angler & Outfitter has been in business since December of 1996. We are a full service fly fishing shop that offers equipment from the best brands in the fly fishing world. In November 2009 we added a web-store to make it easy for our customers outside of the Black Hills to get the fishing and tying equipment they need. We offer a trade in program where you can turn in your old gear into credit for new gear. In addition to high-quality and affordable gear, we offer all kinds of resources including fly fishing guides, videos, reports, information about the lakes and streams through the Black Hills, and more. Our shop hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The Irene Rodeo Association hosts the annual SDRA-sanctioned Irene Rodeo the last Friday and Saturday of June each year. Events include youth mini bulls and broncs, broncs, barrels, team penning, team roping, bulls, calf roping, and mutton bustin’ (for ages 5-8). Rodeo performances are at 7 p.m. Friday night and 6 p.m. Saturday night. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Kids 10 and under are free. 2023 marked the 30th anniversary.
Lallycooler is a two-day, large-scale summer music festival at Great Bear Ski Valley in Sioux Falls. The city of Wagner, South Dakota has been known as the home of the "World's Best Labor Day Celebration" since 1900. The weekend is packed full of events and activities, including a road race, kiddie parade, poker run, midway/carnival, kids fishing tournament, motorcycle ride, two nights of rodeo (Saturday and Sunday), a Festival in the Park (Sunday and Monday), and a parade at 10 a.m. on Monday. One thing is clear, each Wagner Labor Day celebration is better than the last. Come see for yourself!

The downtown Brookings Cottonwood Coffee was the original coffeehouse, built in 2006. Since then, we have served exceptional coffee and managed to become an integral part of the surrounding community. Staffed by knowledgeable and friendly baristas, you can find anything here from a handcrafted shot of espresso (roasted in the same building) to real fruit smoothies. From-scratch baked goods are brought in daily and the lunch and dinner menus boast a wide variety of sandwiches, soups and other fresh, delicious options. We are open seven days per week and our hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
The Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls features more than 1,000 animals from around the world.
