Wild Deadwood Reads is an annual event held at The Lodge at Deadwood Gaming Resort in Historic Deadwood. Our multi-author, multi-genre Book Fair is just one of the exciting events happening, along with a basket raffle to support a local nonprofit organization, numerous giveaways and prizes, and much more. In attendance will be more than 100 authors from all over the country, including bestselling and award-winning authors of every genre—romance, historical, Christian, children’s, mystery, thrillers, Western, non-fiction and more. You will be able to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Admittance is free, so bring the whole family and find your new favorite books and authors.
Bring the entire family to Wylie Park in Aberdeen on the 4th of July for a fun-filled day. Take part in the many activities at the park throughout the day including mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats, paddleboats, canoes, a Storybook Land Theatre performance (7 p.m.), Aberdeen Municipal Band concert (8:30 p.m.) and the fireworks display at dusk. Admission is free. (Fees will be incurred to ride the Storybook Land attractions.)

The evening will consist of two concert events, food vendors, Ben's Brewing, and the region's largest fireworks show, displayed on off the upper deck of the Meridian Bridge starting at dusk (approximately 10 p.m.). Head to historic downtown Yankton for the annual Rock-n-Rumble Motorcycle Rally. Highlights of this fun event include the motorcycle parade, food vendors, and live music. Events and activities run all day Saturday. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the event.

Trick-or-Treat in a fun and safe environment while visiting the animals at the Zoo. Get your tickets early and get into the zoo one hour early. Costumes and re-usable treat bags are encouraged. Since then, we have served exceptional coffee and managed to become an integral part of the surrounding community. Staffed by knowledgeable and friendly baristas, you can find anything here from a handcrafted shot of espresso (roasted in the same building) to real fruit smoothies. From-scratch baked goods are brought in daily and the lunch and dinner menus boast a wide variety of sandwiches, soups and other fresh, delicious options. We are open seven days per week and our hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
