The Hitch Rail Bar and Restaurant

Fresh, local, ranch cusine is featured at the Hitchrail Bar and Restaurant in Pringle. It has been part of the southern Black Hills for 60 years and is a true Black Hills watering hole. In 2014, Carrie and Renee hitched their beliefs, passions, and sheer determination into a creative powerhouse. When a customer walks into our fun retail shop in downtown Brookings, we hitch their thoughtfulness with our delightful gifts and cards. You won't find just any card or gift, you will find one that is just right. We love carrying local art as well handmade jewelry, wood signs and canvases with a local touch. Our shop is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Hjem A.M.

Located in Custer in the southern Black Hills, Hjem A.M. serves breakfast in a space that feels like home. Erik and Camillia opened Hjem A.M. in 2022 with one goal in mind: bring amazing breakfast food to the Black Hills. The food’s focus is seasonality and is inspired by Scandinavian/American flavors. “Hjem” means home in Danish. Camillia and Erik found their home in Custer and want to be your home in the morning. Hours are 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Take-out is available and so are online reservations.
