The annual Kadoka Buffalo Stampede Rodeo is held each year in late June. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is a PRCA/WPRA rodeo featuring bareback riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, ladies breakaway roping, team roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. The Buffalo Stampede Ranch Rodeo takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday night. Friday morning, there is steer tripping at 10 a.m.. Saturday morning there is timed event slack at 10 a.m., and, Saturday night, a dance is held downtown under the tent. Event admission is $20 at the gate. There is no admission for kids 12 and under. The KELOLAND Living Arts & Crafts Show will take place at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall & Annex in Sioux Falls, October 17-18, 2025. Hours are 12-7:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults and kids 12 and younger get in free.

The Northern Fort Playhouse is a summer repertory stock company that delights regional audiences with performances in the historic south barracks building of Fort Sisseton Historic State Park, southwest of Lake City. Northern State University students lend their talents to every production. Two shows will be performed during the 2025 season: Vanities a New Musical and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Performance dates are July 11-13, 18-20 and 25-26. All of our Friday evening performances feature a free will donation social hour.
