The Mount Rushmore Half Marathon is a race with presidential views. It is a challenging course with lots of gorgeous views of Mount Rushmore and the surrounding Black Hills. The starting line of this uphill, paved course is at Ghost Canyon Getaway near Hermosa, and the finish line will be at the Rushmore Borglum Story museum in Keystone. The rolling wave start begins at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. Runner shuttles are available.

Mountain West Beer Fest is held each November in the Rushmore Hall inside The Monument near downtown Rapid City. Spend the day with industry experts and sampling the fares produced by 80+ craft breweries from around the area. There will be 200+ beers, seltzers and NA drinks, plus food trucks and bar games. Spend the evening with industry experts and whiskey connoisseurs alike at the Black Hills premier whiskey experience. The festival features a wide variety of different whiskeys, bourbons and scotches to sample, upscale catering, and live music, all in the heart of downtown Rapid City.
