Pheasant Hunting Season
Opening day of the pheasant hunting season in South Dakota is the third Saturday of October. The season then lasts through January 31 of the following year. Shooting hours are 10 a.m. (Central Time) to sunset for the entire season. (Central Time is used for opening shooting hours statewide.) Hunting licenses are required for both resident and non-resident hunters, including youth.Deadwood's Craft Beer Fest: Hops and Hogs
Craft beer lovers will enjoy Deadwood’s finest at the Hops and Hogs festival. Enjoy craft beer paired with samples of unique bacon dishes. Ticket holders receive an event pass, tasting card, schedule, and an open container cup. Once the event begins, attendees taste at locations on that day’s schedule during designated hours. Tickets are valid for both Friday and Saturday. Tasting hours are 5-10 p.m. on Friday and 12-6 p.m. on Saturday. Every year in mid-June, Crazy Horse Memorial celebrates the arts and crafts that are melding Native American cultures and the New West. During the three-day Gift From Mother Earth Art Show & Sale, the exhibitors and makers of custom-made clothing, jewelry and other items, fill much of the visitor complex.
