Käsemeister Creamery is a farm-to-table creamery located southeast of Frankfort. Our products are raised and produced here on our farm. We only use our own Grade A milk for our cheeses. We produce cheddar, colby, gouda and other cheese varieties, as well as more than a dozen flavored cheeses, quark, dry cottage cheese, and honey. Visit our retail shop to sample our delicious cheeses. Hour retails hours are 9-11:15 a.m. and 12:45-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday.
Dimock Cheese, located in the breadbasket of the heartland, is the oldest cheese plant in South Dakota. Since opening the doors in 1931, Dimock Cheese has continued to make handcrafted artisan cheese the old fashioned way. We use only the best ingredients available and take no shortcuts. We take great pride and care in producing premium quality cheese for our customers. Our store is open 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday.
At Farm Life Creamery in Ethan, we handcraft small batch artisan cheese, on-farm, using Grade A milk from our family's Holstein herd. You can buy our handcrafted cheese, gift boxes, and cheese trays on-site at our Farm Store; have a tour and learn more about cheesemaking and milk bottling; enjoy fresh rolled ice cream, made as you watch; and experience our friendly farm animals, petting zoo, and 18-hole miniature golf. WoodGrain Brewing Company is a local microbrewery specializing in quality handmade beers. Each beer is meticulously hand-crafted using the freshest ingredients, featuring local ingredients whenever possible. We provide a fun, relaxing atmosphere where friends can come to unwind, enjoy themselves and taste some of the finest homegrown libations South Dakota has to offer. Our food menu features sausages from Dakota Craft Links, including a Chicago-style dog, chili cheese dog and Polish sausage, plus appetizers such as chips and salad, beer cheese nachos, pretzels with cheese and egg rolls with homemade sauces. We are open daily and our hours are 3-10 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 12-8 p.m., Sunday.
