Cherry Rock Farms near Brandon has been family-owned and operated since 1925. John Picasso came to Sioux Falls in 1905 from Genoa, Italy. He worked at local greenhouses where he grew his love for gardening. In 1925, he opened a market called Cherry Rock Gardens on the Big Sioux River. It quickly became a household name for the high quality of produce at a reasonable price. Today, with the help of Grandpa David, son Marco is learning the family business and working to maintain the high quality of produce our customers have come to expect. We offer a variety of produce, including pumpkins, melons and more, as well as farm activities during our Pumpkin Patch festivities in early October, which include a corn maze, hayrides, goat petting, pumpkin painting, food trucks and more. Falls Park Farmer's Market is the place to get your weekly supply of flowers, fresh vegetables, meat, and baked goods. Conveniently located just north of Falls Park near downtown Sioux Falls, the market offers not only delicious food, but also a beautiful scenery. We are open on Saturdays, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., May through October.

Sanderson Gardens, located north of Aurora and east of Brookings, offers "new food at used prices." The seasonal pick-your-own produce includes asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, aronia berries, horseradish, rhubarb, pumpkins and gourds. Pre-picked produce is also available, which includes all of the above plus sweet corn. Pick-your-own hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Sunday (see our website for the seasons).

Open year-round (weather permitting), the outdoor Black Hills Farmers Market offers locally-produced foods and fine arts including fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, meats, eggs, honey, fresh-baked goods, herbs, pickles, salsas, jams, jellies, dairy, and hand-crafted items. We are located at Market Park in Rapid City and our hours are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays, May through October; 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesdays, July through October; and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays, November through April.
