
Native American Art Events in South Dakota
Events across the state are dedicated to showing and selling authentic Native American art. From traditional to modern and everything in between, your next artistic acquisitions are waiting at events like these.

For 10 weeks each summer, this show offers the latest and best of Native American art for sale. Admission is free, and you can also take a tour of Red Cloud's historic campus during your visit.

Since 1988, this juried art show and market has been a top Native American art event in the country. Native Peoples Magazine rated it one of the Top Ten Indian Art Markets in the country.

Every summer, this event features a different Native American artist each week, offering unique chances to see creation in action — and experience the final results of these talented creators.

Every third weekend in July, this free juried show features original artwork and a day full of cultural performances.

Tribes hold powwows (or wacipis) throughout the year. Not only can you experience the power of traditional dance, regalia, songs and more, you can also purchase authentic Native American art — often from the artists themselves.
